Anita Lane

Anita Lane is an Australian singer-songwriter known for her contributions to the post-punk and alternative rock genres. Born on March 28, 1960, in Melbourne, Lane gained prominence in the early 1980s as a member of the band Boys Next Door alongside Nick Cave, which later evolved into The Birthday Party. Her collaboration with Cave continued, as she co-wrote several tracks for his projects, including "From Her to Eternity." Lane's solo career began with the release of her debut EP, "The World's a Girl," in 1988, followed by the album "Dirty Pearl" in 1993, which showcased her unique blend of haunting melodies and introspective lyrics.
