Crispian Mills

Crispian Mills, born on January 18, 1973, is an English musician, singer-songwriter, and producer, best known as the frontman of the alternative rock band Kula Shaker. Emerging in the mid-1990s, Kula Shaker gained prominence with their blend of psychedelic rock, Indian music influences, and Britpop elements. Their debut album, *K*, released in 1996, featured the hit single "Tattva," which showcased Mills' distinctive vocals and the band's unique sound. The album received critical acclaim and commercial success, reaching the top of the UK Albums Chart. Following the band's initial success, Mills pursued various musical projects, including a solo career and collaborations with other artists. Kula Shaker disbanded in 1999 but reunited in 2007, releasing new music and touring, which reaffirmed their influence on the Britpop revival. Mills' impact on music lies in his innovative fusion of genres, drawing on Eastern philosophy and culture, which helped to broaden the scope of Britpop and alternative rock during the 1990s.
