Diplo

Diplo, born Thomas Wesley Pentz on November 10, 1978, is an American DJ, music producer, and songwriter known for his eclectic style that blends various genres, including electronic, dance, hip-hop, and pop. He gained prominence in the mid-2000s with the formation of the electronic dancehall project Major Lazer, which produced the global hit "Lean On" in collaboration with DJ Snake and MØ. Diplo is also a co-creator of the group Jack Ü with Skrillex, which won a Grammy Award for Best Dance/Electronic Album for their 2015 EP featuring the hit "Where Are Ü Now" with Justin Bieber. His production work extends to collaborations with major artists, including Madonna, Beyoncé, and M.I.A., the latter of whom he helped propel into mainstream success with "Paper Planes."
