Dolla, born Roderick Anthony Burton II on November 25, 1987, was an American rapper known for his contributions to hip-hop and R&B. Emerging from Los Angeles, California, he gained recognition in the mid-2000s with his affiliation to the production team known as the P.O.B. (Pursuit of Baddness). His notable works include the singles "Who the F*** Is Dolla?" and "Feelin' So Good," which showcased his catchy hooks and smooth delivery. Dolla's music often reflected themes of aspiration and urban life, appealing to a youthful audience. He was also known for collaborating with prominent artists, including Akon, who signed him to his Konvict Muzik label. Tragically, Dolla's life was cut short when he was shot and killed on May 18, 2009, outside a shopping center in Los Angeles.
