Failure

Failure is an American alternative rock band formed in 1990 in Los Angeles, California. The group consists of founding members Ken Andrews (vocals, guitar) and Greg Edwards (guitar, vocals), along with drummer Kellii Scott, who joined in 1993. They are known for their distinctive sound that blends elements of alternative rock, space rock, and post-grunge, characterized by heavy guitar riffs, melodic hooks, and introspective lyrics. Their notable works include the albums "Comfort" (1992), "Magnified" (1994), and "Fantastic Planet" (1996), the latter being particularly influential in the alternative rock scene. "Fantastic Planet" received critical acclaim and has been cited as a precursor to the post-rock genre, influencing bands like Tool and Deftones. After disbanding in 1997, Failure reunited in 2013 and released the album "The Heart Is a Monster" in 2015, further solidifying their legacy. Their innovative approach to songwriting and production techniques has left a lasting impact on the alternative and post-rock genres, earning them a dedicated fan base and recognition as pioneers of the 1990s alternative music movement.
