Gavin Friday

Gavin Friday, born Fionan Hanvey on October 8, 1959, is an Irish singer and musician. He is best known as a founding member of the post-punk band Virgin Prunes, which emerged from the Dublin music scene in the late 1970s and early 1980s. The band was noted for its experimental and avant-garde approach to music and performance.

Friday's work with Virgin Prunes positioned him as an influential figure in alternative and gothic rock genres during that era.
