Hiromi Ōta

Hiromi Ōta, often known simply as Hiromi, is a Japanese composer and pianist renowned for her virtuosic technique and fusion of genres, primarily jazz, classical, and progressive rock. Born on March 26, 1979, in Hamamatsu, Japan, she began playing piano at a young age and later studied at the Berklee College of Music. Hiromi gained international recognition with her debut album, "Another Mind," released in 2003, which showcased her unique blend of influences and innovative compositions. Her subsequent works, such as "Spiral" (2006) and "Place to Be" (2012), further solidified her reputation as a leading figure in contemporary jazz.
