Jón Þór Birgisson

Jón Þór Birgisson, known as Jónsi, is an Icelandic musician and the lead vocalist and guitarist of the post-rock band Sigur Rós. Born on April 23, 1975, in Reykjavík, Jónsi is renowned for his ethereal voice and innovative guitar techniques, often using a violin bow to create unique soundscapes. Sigur Rós, formed in 1994, gained international fame with albums like "Ágætis byrjun" (1999) and "Takk..."
