Jean-Louis Lully was a French composer born on September 24, 1667, in Paris, France. He was part of the Baroque era and came from a notable musical family, being the son of Jean-Baptiste Lully, a prominent composer and musician. Jean-Louis Lully's career was cut short by his early death on December 23, 1688, at the age of 21. Despite his brief life, he contributed to the musical landscape of late 17th-century France.
