Manny Charlton
Manny Charlton, born on December 25, 1941, in La Línea de la Concepción, Spain, is best known as the lead guitarist and a founding member of the Scottish rock band Nazareth. Active primarily from the late 1960s to the 1980s, Nazareth gained prominence in the hard rock and glam rock genres. Charlton's distinctive guitar work and songwriting were pivotal in shaping the band's sound, which blended rock with elements of blues and folk. Notable works include the band's hit album "Hair of the Dog" (1975), featuring the classic track "Love Hurts," which became a defining ballad and has been covered by numerous artists. Charlton also contributed to albums such as "Razamanaz" (1973) and "Expect No Mercy" (1977). In addition to his work with Nazareth, he produced and collaborated with various artists, further influencing the rock genre.
