Migos
Migos is an American hip-hop trio formed in 2008, hailing from Lawrenceville, Georgia. The group consists of members Quavo, Offset, and Takeoff. They are primarily known for their contributions to the trap music genre, characterized by their use of catchy hooks, ad-lib-heavy delivery, and intricate, rhythmic flows. Their breakout single, "Versace," released in 2013, garnered significant attention, but it was their 2017 album "Culture" that solidified their status in mainstream hip-hop. The album featured the hit single "Bad and Boujee," which peaked at number one on the Billboard Hot 100. Subsequent projects, including "Culture II" (2018) and "Culture III" (2021), further showcased their evolving sound and commercial appeal. Migos is credited with popularizing the "triplet flow" in contemporary hip-hop, influencing a generation of artists and shaping the genre's direction. Their collaborative work with various artists, including Cardi B and Drake, has also expanded their reach and impact. Despite the tragic passing of Takeoff in 2022, Migos' legacy continues to resonate, marking them as pivotal figures in the evolution of modern hip-hop.
