Pentagon

Pentagon is a South Korean boy band formed by CUBE Entertainment in 2016. The group debuted on October 10, 2016, with their EP "Pentagon," showcasing a blend of genres, primarily K-pop, with influences from pop, hip-hop, and R&B. The original lineup consisted of ten members: Hui, E'Dawn, Hongseok, Shinwon, Yeo One, Yan An, Yuto, Kino, Wooseok, and later reduced to nine after E'Dawn's departure. Notable works include their EPs "Daisy" (2020), "Love or Take" (2021), and "In:VITE U" (2022), which features the hit tracks "Shine," "Daisy," and "Do or Not." Their song "Shine" was particularly significant, as it garnered widespread recognition and helped solidify their position in the competitive K-pop scene. Pentagon is known for their strong vocal performances, intricate choreography, and self-produced music, with members actively participating in songwriting and composition. Their impact on music includes contributions to the globalization of K-pop, as they have cultivated a dedicated international fanbase, known as "Universe," and have participated in various international music festivals and tours, further promoting K-pop culture worldwide.
