Porcupine Tree
Porcupine Tree is a British progressive rock band formed in 1987 by musician Steven Wilson. Initially a solo project, the band evolved into a full-fledged group with the addition of members Richard Barbieri, Colin Edwin, and Gavin Harrison. Their music blends elements of progressive rock, psychedelic rock, and metal, characterized by intricate compositions, atmospheric soundscapes, and introspective lyrics. Notable works include the albums "In Absentia" (2002), "Deadwing" (2005), and "Fear of a Blank Planet" (2007), which received critical acclaim and showcased their ability to merge heavy instrumentation with melodic sensibility.
