Roberto Roena

Roberto Roena (born January 16, 1938) is a prominent Puerto Rican musician, known primarily for his contributions to the salsa genre. He first gained recognition as a member of the legendary orchestra El Gran Combo de Puerto Rico in the 1960s. Roena later formed his own band, "Roberto Roena y Su Apollo Sound," which became influential in popularizing salsa music throughout the 1970s and 1980s.
