Soft Cell

Soft Cell is an English synth-pop duo formed in 1981, consisting of vocalist Marc Almond and instrumentalist David Ball. They are best known for their distinctive sound that blends electronic music with new wave and post-punk elements, characterized by Almond's emotive vocal style and Ball's innovative use of synthesizers.

Their most notable work is the 1981 hit "Tainted Love," which became a massive international success, reaching the top of the charts in multiple countries and becoming one of the defining songs of the 1980s. The duo's debut album, Non-Stop Erotic Cabaret, also released in 1981, features other popular tracks such as "Bedsitter" and "Say Hello, Wave Goodbye."
