Takeoff

Takeoff, born Kirshnik Khari Ball on June 18, 1994, was an American rapper and a member of the hip-hop trio Migos, alongside Quavo and Offset. Hailing from Lawrenceville, Georgia, the group emerged in the early 2010s and became known for their trap music style, characterized by catchy hooks and intricate flows. Migos gained widespread recognition with their 2013 hit "Versace," but it was their 2017 album "Culture" that solidified their impact on the genre, featuring the chart-topping single "Bad and Boujee." Takeoff, known for his unique flow and lyrical prowess, contributed significantly to the group's success, showcasing his talent in tracks like "T-Shirt" and "Walk It Talk It." In 2020, Takeoff released a collaborative album with Quavo titled "Only Built for Infinity Links," further establishing his artistry outside of Migos. His influence on modern hip-hop includes popularizing the triplet flow and inspiring a new generation of artists. Tragically, Takeoff was shot and killed on November 1, 2022, in Houston, Texas, leaving behind a legacy that continues to resonate in the music industry. His contributions to hip-hop remain significant, and he is remembered for his creativity and impact.
